Torch-on membrane roof in inner Sydney with the city skyline behind

Torch-on waterproofing, locally

Waterproofing Sydney CBD & Inner City

Rooftop plant decks above office floors. Podiums over retail. Century-old parapets holding modern membranes. Inner-city waterproofing is high-stakes work with hard access, and it's some of our favourite work in Sydney.

Waterproofing in Sydney CBD & Inner City

City buildings punish lazy waterproofing. A failed membrane above a tenanted office floor isn't a stain, it's a business interruption claim. We work with building managers, strata committees and head contractors across the CBD, Pyrmont, Ultimo, Surry Hills, Redfern, Chippendale and the city fringe on roofs, podium decks, plant areas and awnings.

Access is half the job in the city. We're used to working from loading docks, coordinating with building management for crane and hoist windows, doing fire-watch to building-specific hot-works permits and staging work so tenants never lose a floor. Torch-on suits occupied buildings: each section is waterproof the moment it cools, so a roof is never left open overnight.

The inner city's older stock, warehouse conversions in Chippendale, Federation-era parapets in Surry Hills, brings remedial work that rewards experience. Zach and Chris carry forty combined years of European and Sydney membrane work, and heritage details get hand-cut membrane work, not sealant smears.

Whatever the building, the process is the same: an inspection with photos, a fixed itemised quote, two-layer torch-on installed to manufacturer spec, flood testing where it counts, and a warranty in writing. Not sure what you're looking at? Our guides on waterproofing costs and choosing a contractor are a good place to start.

No fluff. No buzzwords.

Asked locally

Can you work on occupied commercial buildings in the CBD?

Yes, that's most of our city work. We stage sections, coordinate access and crane windows with building management, run formal hot-works permits and fire watch, and leave every section waterproof the same day it's opened. Tenants stay put, the building stays dry.

Can't afford for it to leak twice?

Call the blokes whose names are on the patch. Straight answers, a fixed quote and a warranty that means something.
